NATO hopes, two presidents will settle Ukrainian-Romanian border problem

Brussels, June 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) - NATO hopes the issue of the Ukrainian-Romanian border will be finally settled in September during the talks between Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma and Romanian President Ion Iliescu. NATO's Secretary General George Robertson disclosed this to Ukrainian journalists in Brussels on Friday.

"We hope that the talks between Romanian President Iliescu and Ukrainian President Kuchma in September will be fruitful and will draw a line under the issue of the Ukrainian-Romanian border," he said. He confirmed he knows the issue is "sensitive."
