Poll According to the results of a poll, conducted by the Razumkov Center of Social Investigations, during the first months of the year 2003, the parity ratio of adherents and opponents of Ukraine"s entrance in NATO, which was observed in the second half-year of 2002, significantly altered in favor of the opponents of the entrance into the Alliance.
Hypothetical referendum According to the Razumkov Center, in line with the data of the poll, conducted in April of 2003, at a hypothetical referendum relating the entrance of Ukraine into NATO, 19.2% of respondents would vote for the entrance, 43.3% - against it, 19.5% would not vote, and 18% abstained from answer.
Regional differences: West is pro The attitude of Ukrainian citizens to the entrance in NATO has significant regional differences. In the western region of the country, the number of adherents of the Ukraine"s entrance in NATO prevails (for - 37%, against - 23.7%).

South is against In the other regions, the majority of people oppose this idea (specifically, in the south of the country, 10.3% would vote for it, 53.5% - against).
Investigation The investigation was conducted by the Razumkov Center during April 2-7 of the year 2003, and covered 2013 respondents aged over 18 years old in all the regions of Ukraine. |
