Not true
Abkhaz Defense Minister Raul Khadjimba on 25 March rejected as untrue a Caucasus Press report quoting a Georgian State Security Ministry official as claiming that Abkhazia has laid mines in the 12-kilometer security zone on either side of the border between Abkhazia and the rest of Georgia, Caucasus Press reported.

Fear of incursion
The Georgian official alleged that the Abkhaz are laying mines in the zone patrolled by CIS peacekeeping forces because they fear an incursion by Georgian guerrillas and U.S.-trained commandos.
