The Ukrainian frontier troops detained more than 800 illegal migrants on the Crimean borders in 2002.
According to the press secretary of the Azov and Black-sea frontier divisions, Serhiy Poddubny, last year the frontier soldiers detained 3,258 trespassers with smuggled |
goods worth more than Hr300 thousand. In addition, the soldiers withdrew more than 5 tons of fish, 10 km of fishing net and a creep from fishing poachers last year.
Poddubny said that not a single poaching fishing boat was admitted to the Ukrainian waters in 2002. |
